Obituary for Halsey R. McCombs
Halsey R. McCombs, 83, of Milford, NH, passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2017.

Halsey was born in N. Kingston, RI, son of Courtland and Lillian McCombs. He served in the U.S. Air Force followed by a full career with the FAA as well as time with Chappell Tractors. He enjoyed woodworking, attending fairs and spending time with family and friends, all while wearing his favorite red socks.

Halsey was a patient, kind and devoted husband and father who was proud to be a veteran. He was especially proud of his three children, who are also veterans.

Halsey is survived by his wife of 24 years, Rachel, of Milford, NH and was predeceased by Valerie Tuttle McCombs, mother of his three children, James McCombs of Stuart, FL, Jon McCombs of Bedford, NH and Jeanne Vaught of Tucson, AZ, as well as his two step-daughters Marianne Boutwell of Keene, NH, Aimee Maxfield of Phoenix, AZ, 6 grand children and 6 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to SHARE Outreach Center, 1 Columbus Ave, Milford, NH. Based on the wishes of the deceased, there will be a private service in the future.
