Obituary for Alan Joseph Nesbit
Alan Joseph Nesbit, 74, of Greenville, NH, passed peacefully at home on Wednesday March 23, 2022. He was born November 25, 1947, in Nashua, NH to parents Albert and Madeleine (Corbin) Nesbit. Alan was born and raised in Nashua then went on to serve in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War entering in 1965 and serving three years until his honorable discharge in 1968. He went on to work as a machinist for many years. Alan was a lover of motorcycles and all things Harley Davidson and took great pride from the current and many other Harleys he has owned over the years. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR racing. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 10 in Wilton and Post 13 in Greenville and was a member of the VFW in Jaffrey. Alan was very proud of his military service and took several trips to Washington D.C. to visit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and making many new friends along the way.
He is survived by his companion of many years Maureen Zina of Greenville, NH; his son Keith Nesbit of Nashua, NH; his sister Lorraine Sweeney of Milford, NH. and her 3 children Kathy Thibodeau of Concord,NH; Kristen Astilla of Durham,NC; and Kevin Thibodeau of Nashua,NH. He is predeceased by his son Brian M. Nesbit who passed in 1992. Family and friends are warmly welcomed to attend calling hours at the Michaud Funeral Home 32 Maple St. Wilton, NH on Thursday March 31, 2022, from 5pm-7pm with a short service being held at 7pm. A burial will be held the following day, April 1, at St. Louis Cemetery, 752 W. Hollis Street Nashua, NH at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Alan’s name to the American Liver Foundation.
