Obituary for Diane L. Hojlo
Diane Louise (McKinnon) Hojlo passed away surrounded by her family the evening of March 22, 2018 after a long and courageous battle against cancer. She was born in Lowell Massachusetts on December 1, 1951. She was a graduate of Dracut High School. After marrying her husband Paul F. Hojlo Jr., they moved to Nashua, New Hampshire.
Diane was most recently employed by Echo Shoes of Bedford, NH. She and her husband lived out her remaining years in Bedford from which they raised their much loved children Steven and Lindsay. Her optimism, compassion, kindness and generosity were felt by all who knew her. Diane loved her dear pet Hunny as well as her grand puppies Elsa and Charley. She loved her family and enjoyed her trips to Cape Cod, Massachusetts and Old Orchard Beach, Maine. When matters of health are out of our control the best we can hope for is to be surrounded by loving family and she certainly was. She brought joy and knew joy and that’s all we can hope for.
Diane is survived by her beloved husband Paul, her son Steven Hojlo, daughter Lindsay Gibbons and her husband Jamas. She was the daughter of the (late) Andrew McKinnon and Jeannine McKinnon. She is also survived by her brother Normand McKinnon and his wife Susan, her sister Jeanette Ralls and her husband Arthur, her sister Denise McKinnon and husband Tom Croly, her brother Rick McKinnon and wife Lisa, her brother Gerry McKinnon, and her sister Monique Dumais and husband Steve. She is also survived by her father in law Paul F. Hojlo Sr. and her mother in law Marie, her sister in law Mary McCormack and husband Jim, her sister in law Julie Gracia and husband Michael. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday March 28, at 12 noon. At the St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 90 Meeting House road in Bedford NH, 03110.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Diane’s name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute of Londonderry, NH.
