Obituary for Donald F. Whitney
Donald F. Whitney, 73, of Merrimack, NH, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. Donald was born June 13, 1944, in Wilton, NH, the son of Edgar A. Whitney, Sr. and Edna M. (Hall) Whitney. Donald served in the US Army and was stationed in Korea for 13 months. He was a mold-maker, having worked at BurBak Plastics, in Wilton, NH, and at OK Tool Company, in Milford, NH. Donald loved to hunt and fish. He belonged to the Pinnacle Mountain Club and the NRA. He loved to attend flea markets, both in NH and MA. He collected Stanley Tools. Donald was a caretaker for his mother, Edna (Hall) Whitney. Donald is survived by his brothers, Ernest T. Whitney, Sr., of Wilton, NH; his cousin, David Hall; and his aunt, Alice Boutwell, of Lyndeborough. He was predeceased by his brothers, Edgar A. Whitney, Jr., and Richard Whitney; and his sisters Irene Whitney and Marion Mochrie. All are warmly invited to calling hours on Monday, October 2, 2017, from 10:00am to noon, at Michaud Funeral Home, 32 Maple Street, Wilton, NH. A celebration of Donald’s life will be held at Michaud Funeral Home immediately after calling hours followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Wilton, NH.
