Obituary for Edna L. Tuttle
Edna L. Tuttle, 90, of Wilton, NH, died June 28, 2017, at Catholic Medical Center, with her family by her side. She was born in Manchester, NH, January 17, 1927, she was the daughter of Herman and Dora (Crawford) Glines. She earned her Degree in Business from UNH. Edna and her husband James E. Tuttle were married on June 21, 1947. Edna and Jim enjoyed 42 years of marriage.
Edna was a home maker and also worked in sales for several businesses in town. She was very active in her church and served as the Clerk and a Sunday school teacher for many years. She also worked at the Coffee House that was sponsored by the Wilton Unitarian Church. She loved her town and was involved in the Youth Center, Goss Park, and in getting Federal Grants to start Carnival Hill. She was active in the Girl Scouts, Wilton Booster Club and the Sportsman suppers at the High school.
Her family was her life, she loved the holidays and trips to Vermont for family reunions. Her grandchildren brought great joy to her. And she adored her grand dogs. The family expresses thanks for the wonderful days she spent with her new extended family at Summer Hill and the wonderful staff and caregivers.
A calling hour will be held between 10:30am and 11:30am, Saturday, July 1, 2017, at the Michaud Funeral Home, 32 Maple Street, Wilton, NH. Services will follow at 11:30am, Saturday, July 1, 2017, in the Michaud Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside services will be held at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Wilton, NH, Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 1:15pm followed by a luncheon at the Congregational Church in Wilton, NH.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to SJCS Meals on Wheels (website mealsonwheelsnh.org) or to the Wilton Police Association of NH, PO Box 183,Wilton, NH, 03086.
