Obituary for James R. Moran
James R. Moran, 78, of Ashby, MA, passed peacefully at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH, Saturday October 17, 2020. James was born December 3, 1941 in Fitchburg, MA to parents Thomas F and Hazel (Caisse) Moran. James was born and raised in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He attended Appleton Academy in New Ipswich, NH and then went on to join the Army where he served for several years. He went on to work for himself as a carpenter and was truly a jack of all trades. He was a founding and current member of the NIAA club where he enjoyed playing horseshoes, darts and softball. He will be greatly missed by all members. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family who will deeply miss his great sense of humor and his fun antics. In addition to his significant other of over 50 years, Linda (Forgues) Allard, he is survived by his son Kevin Allard and his wife Samantha; his daughter Corrina Lussier and her husband Bill; his grandchildren Samantha Lussier, Kiefer Allard, Tanya Deaton and her husband David Deaton, Cameron Allard and his girlfriend Katie Scanlon; his greatgrandchildren Summer Deaton, Analiese Deaton, and Arthur Allard; his brothers Thomas Moran, Patrick Moran and his wife Greta; his sisters Hazel Cotzin, Ruth Bernier, Mary Eklund and her husband Dave, along with many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sons Daniel Moran, James Moran Jr. and his wife Tonja, and daughter Julie Morin and her husband Lawrence and his grandchildren Shayna Moran, Lucas Moran, Eric Moran, Ryan Moran, Matthew Morin and Cassandra Morin. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother William Moran and sisters Louise Sillanpaa and Sara Dunn. Per James’ request no services will be held.
