Judith Prince, 79, made her final journey to heaven on June 16, 2024 at Pheasant Wood Nursing Home, where she was lovingly cared for during the last year. Judy was born on September 15, 1944, in Lowell, Massachusetts, to Vernon and Elizabeth (Cote) Timmins.
Judy married her loving husband, Jack, in 1966, and they settled in Greenville, NH in 1973. They had three children: Richard, married to Elizabeth Drouin; Lisa, married to David Stone; and John. After Jack’s passing, Judy moved to Peterborough, NH to live with her daughter’s family.
Judy dedicated her life to caring for others. She spent decades at home, raising her own children and running an in-home daycare. In the 1980s, she began working as the "milk lady" at Jaffrey-Rindge Middle School and quickly rose to become the Food Service Director for the district. She loved this job and believed feeding children was her true calling.
As President of the Greenville Lioness Club, Judy was instrumental in fundraising efforts to create an emergency relief fund for local families. Her commitment to serving others was unwavering.
Judy was a dedicated and loyal friend whose home was always open to everyone. She found joy in a house filled with family and friends, ready to feed and care for all who entered.
Judy was predeceased by her husband, John Prince; her parents, Betty and Vernon Timmins; her sister, Ruthi Lincoln; her grandson, Joshua Prince; her great-grandson, Gregory “Bug” Prince; and her dear friends: Elaine Mallows, Ethel Chase, Annette Cranston, Rosemary “Pumpkin” Houle, and Melissa Ruiz.
Gram is survived by Gregory, Elias, and Micah Prince; Brendan Prince; Sean, Cassandra, Chloe, Aaron, Rosie, and Elleri Prince; Isaac, Kiana, and Charlotte Stone; Dezirae and Edith Prince; Izy Stone, Kaden and Bella Hawley; and Julia Prince.
Judy was one of five children she is survived by her sister Paula (Kirk) Kelley of TN, Mary Gail (Art) LaRock of NH and Thomas Timmins of NY.
Judy's warmth, generosity, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness and her unending focus on her grandchildren will continue to fill our hearts. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to End 68 Hours of Hunger ConVal, an organization that provides food for school children.
