On Monday, March 27,2023, Lorraine Rita Cantara, 88, passed away peacefully in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
Born on April 5, 1934, in Biddeford, Maine, Lorraine was the daughter of Harry R. Courtois, Sr. and Louisa (Bertrand) Courtois, the eldest of three children. She enjoyed spending time at the ocean and visiting Old Orchard Beach.
She worked for over 20 years at Anheuser-Busch, where she made many friends who she enjoyed spending time with. She also taught Sunday school at Our Lady of Mercy in Merrimack and volunteered at many local charity and political events.
She will be remembered for being a kind, selfless and generous soul who gave everything to her family. She was an avid reader, enjoyed spy novels and movies, and was a big Tom Clancy fan. She loved animals and had a special fondness for the family dogs that she helped care for. She enjoyed playing games on her iPad and catching up with friends on the phone. Quick of wit, she loved to text back and forth with her daughter during Jeopardy. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, who she helped raise and loved so much.
She is survived by her daughter Pamela and husband Stephen Tisa, and grandchildren Sean and Alex Tisa. She is predeceased by her husband, Daniel and son, Michael.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the Community Hospice House nurses, doctors, staff and volunteers for their support and sincere compassion towards Mom.
