Marjorie L. Wilder, 89, of Pepperell, MA died April 3, 2017 after a long illness surrounded by her family in Wilton, NH.
Margie was born on February 8, 1928, the daughter of Gerald and Miriam Mae (Burne) Lorman. She grew up on her grandparents farm in Tyngsboro, MA of which she always spoke fondly of. During the war she was a draftsman for GE. On November 1, 1952, she married Lt. Colonel Oscar Wilder Jr. and moved to Pepperell, MA where they built a home and spent 47 plus years together until his passing in 2000.
Marjorie is survived by one son, Clinton and his wife Heidi Wilder of Wilton, NH, a step son Richard Wilder of Pittsfield, MA, a step daughter Dr. Judy Wilder of Brooksville, ME. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren, a sister in law Loiuse Lorman of Tyngsboro, MA, several nieces and nephews, and many loving friends.
Margie proudly called herself an "old farm girl" and loved every minute of being in her gardens. She loved cooking and got great satisfaction from canning the food she grew. She loved knitting, volunteer work, and was an avid Boston Bruins fan. In the 1960's she got her pilot's license, and told wonderful stories of flying all over New England. Margie loved life and lived it to the fullest.
