Norman F. Jarvis, formerly of Shrewsbury, Ma, resided in Mason, NH for the past 22 years. He passed away suddenly on May 10, 2022, at the age of 88. He was preceded in death by his mother Agnes, brother Henry, sister Anne, and daughter Katherine.
In his early years, he was a member of the National Guard and began a 30+ year career at Riley Stoker Corp. He was a hard worker for his family, often working 3 jobs. Music brought him great joy. He was a proud member of the Crimson Leaders and enjoyed every ‘gig’ they played. For 6 decades he taught private music lessons and repaired musical instruments. He was one of a very few in the east coast who perfected that craft which resulted in a successful business. He was immensely proud of the countless number of students he taught to play saxophone, clarinet, flute and trumpet. This included his three children who had their lessons on Saturday morning. He was still teaching and repairing up until the time of his death.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 37 years, Susan Jarvis, daughter Marcia (Loren) Tschohl of Moyock, NC, son Jeffrey (Donna) Jarvis of Lancaster, MA, in laws Art and Terry Morrow, mother of his children Marianne Kittredge, 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren who he loved dearly.
Family and friends are warmly welcomed to attend calling hours at the Michaud Funeral Home, 32 Maple St Wilton, NH on Saturday May 14 from 12pm-2:30pm. A service will be held at 2:30 at the funeral home. A procession will follow to Prospect Hill Cemetery in Mason, NH with a burial to follow.
