Obituary for Patricia Barbara Hasychak
Patricia Barbara (Kuchta) Hasychak, of Hollis, NH, departed this world peacefully on July 13, 2022. She was surrounded by her loving daughter, son, and husband as well as her daughter-in-law and son-in-law.
Patricia was born in Southington, CT on July 16, 1953 and grew up there, graduating in 1971 from Southington High School.
After earning her Associates degree, she worked for several large Hartford, CT Insurance Companies including Little Aetna and Connecticut General. She moved to Hollis, NH to marry her husband, John Hasychak, Jr. They were married on May 9, 1987 and spent just over 35 wonderful years together.
Patricia was blessed with two incredible children, Dr. John Hasychak, III and Lara Patricia (Hasychak) Hoge. She was also blessed with a loving and caring daughter-in-law Kate L. (Meissner) Hasychak and a loving and caring son-in-law Justin C. Hoge.
After moving to Hollis, Patricia worked briefly for a local insurance agency. She then found the job she loved best, which was working in the Hollis-Brookline School system as a paraprofessional and then in the office. She retired several years ago to help her husband run his business. She was invaluable in assuring the success of the business.
Patricia loved her vacation home in Colebrook, NH and made many wonderful friends there. She could enjoy the view and read for hours. She also enjoyed fishing on ponds and lakes in the Colebrook area, trolling for trout. She almost always caught the most fish. She loved road trips to places like Michigan, Indiana, Vermont, Ohio, Maine, Massachusetts, the Connecticut shore, and all over New Hampshire. She also enjoyed trips to Hawaii, New Orleans, and San Antonio. She loved a variety of crafts, especially crocheting caps, socks, and blankets to donate to those who needed them. Beautiful craft creations adorn every room in each of her homes.
Patricia was predeceased by her father, Richard J. Kuchta and her beloved brother
Richard J. “Smokey” Kuchta, Jr.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Kuchta of Venice, FL, her son Dr. John Hasychak, III, her daughter Lara Patricia (Hasychak) Hoge, her husband John Hasychak, Jr., daughter-in-law Kate L. Hasychak and son-in-law Justin C. Hoge and the light of her recent life, one year old granddaughter Larissa Elayne Hasychak.
She will be missed by many close friends as she was always loving, giving, kind, compassionate, understanding, and generous.
Her immediate family meant everything to Patricia, and she cherished spending time together as often as possible.

Calling hours will be 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday July 25, 2022, at Michaud Funeral Home, 32 Maple Street in Wilton NH. There will also be a burial mass at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at St John Newman Church, 708 Milford Road in Merrimack, NH. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
