Obituary for Richard Charles Caron
Richard Charles Caron passed away on Wednesday March 10th, 2021 at the age of 82 after a protracted battle with cancer. He passed with his wife and children by his side hearing their loving words of comfort as he made his most notable journey. Richard was born in Peterborough, NH on September 1st, 1938 to father and mother Odilion and Edna Caron (predeceased) of Greenville, NH where he was a lifelong resident and a member of the LeClairCaron-Pelletier American Legion Post 13. He served in the National Guard for 6 years and was called to active duty in 1961 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He attended and graduated in 1956 from Notre Dame Highschool in MA and served as an alter boy at Sacred Heart Church, Greenville, NH. Richard met his wife, Patricia at a Town Hall dance that led to 61 years of marriage and together they raised their family and built a stable home that has stood solid throughout the years. He was a loving father and was an incredibly talented “jack of all trades” who was kind-hearted, well-liked, and could “hold a conversation with anyone.” He was well-known for his singing and artistic ability which led to trying his hand at a small business for Wedding Photography where he was often asked to sing – most notably – “Daddy’s Little Girl” which always left the room “in tears of joy.” Richard was also a gifted tradesman and craftsman and held multiple certifications as an auto mechanic working at McCreery’s and Sheldon’s in Milford and constructing a home on the family lot where he was able to live out his life with his wife and family. Richard and Patti owned the Copper Kettle Restaurant on Main Street in Greenville happily serving the community where he was very well known in town with many friends. He worked as an NPC Shipping Supervisor and again serving the community in driving the local school bus in his later years. He and his wife were always together and loved to camp all over new England leading them in their retirement years to a seasonal campground in Wells, ME where they spent their summers with their beloved dogs, family, and friends. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, listening to music (most notably Elvis), and engaging in home repairs. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; his son Kristopher Caron and his wife Katherine, of Greenville, NH; his 2 daughters, Kimberly Huszar, and her husband William, of Stafford, VA and Lisa Perales of Rindge, NH; his sister Brenda Amadio of NC; and his 13 grandchildren: Elizabeth (predeceased), Kristopher, Seamus, Ryan, Molly, and Alexis Caron; William, Sarah, Michael, Nicholas and Amber Huszar; and Cameron Barry (Perales); and 3 great-grandchildren Liam, Nicholas, and Skylar Huszar. Family and friends are warmly welcome to calling hours to be held on Sunday, May 2nd, 2021 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. A Celebration of Richard’s life will follow at 4:00pm in the Michaud Funeral Home Chapel @ 32 Maple Street, Wilton, NH. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in New Ipswich, NH on May 3rd, 2021 with full Military Honors.
