Obituary for Robert Caswell
Robert Lowell Caswell, 62, of Wilton, NH, died May 23, 2018, in the comfort of his own home with his wife and family by his side. He had bravely battled cancer for over four years and we believe it was his competitive spirit that kept him with us all that time. Bob’s passion in life was baseball. Over the years he served as head coach of the Mascenic High School baseball team and coached baseball teams affiliated with Merrimack College, SNHU, St. Anselm’s and was also the batting coach for the Nashua Pride Team. After he and his wife started their business, Power Series, he went on to coach multiple AAU teams that played at Wilton-Lyndeborough Co-op. Through their 15 year success with Power Series, Bob inspired, molded and provided guidance and direction to hundreds of young baseball players, some who went on to compete semi-professionally and more recent, he was excited about a young man he had worked with being chosen as a potential MLB prospect.. The many visits, phone calls and cards he received from many of them brought him a tremendous sense of pride and accomplishment. Bob graduated from Wilton-Lyndeborough Co-op in 1974 and then went on to attend and graduate from Laconia Vocational and Technical school in 1976. Born October 25, 1955, he was predeceased by his parents, Lowell York Caswell and Mildred (Tuttle) (Caswell) Hubley. He is survived by his loving wife, Louise (Lafreniere) Caswell. His twin brother, Ronald Y. Caswell and wife, Marsha of Lyndeborough, NH. His sisters; Bonnie Richard and husband, Philip of Bedford, NH, and Barbara Quinn of Fort Mill, SC. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He also leaves behind his very dear and devoted friend Brian Firmin. All are warmly welcomed to calling hours, held Tuesday, May 29, 2018, from 4pm-8pm, at the Michaud Funeral Home, 32 Maple St, Wilton, NH. A service will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at 11am, at the Michaud Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial donations to be made to a charity of your choice.
