Obituary for Robert W Brown
Robert W. Brown, 83, of Milford, NH, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at St. Joseph's Hospital, in Nashua, NH, after a brief illness.
Born in Lexington, Kentucky, in 1936, to Lymon O. and Ruth (Tharpe) Brown, Mr. Brown was raised in Indiana before moving his family to Amherst, NH, in September of 1976.
After graduating high school, Mr. Brown joined the Army and served honorably for 6 years. He went on to serve another 22 years with the Air Force reserve. Serving his country was simply his way of giving back to a country that he loved.
He also worked for many years within the insurance industry as a sales person and sales manager, winning sales person of the month several times. Mr. Brown enjoyed meeting new people and helping them with their life insurance needs. He worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and Mass Mutual for many years.
Mr. Brown was also an active Masonic Lodge member at the Clinton Lodge Masonic temple in Wilton NH. He loved his brothers and seldom missed a meeting or an opportunity to help someone.
A devout Christian, Mr. Brown loved to share his faith and attended the New Hope Baptist Church and Bible Study in Bedford, NH. Mr. Brown was a mentor and friend to his Pastor Bob Kruger and loved his church family.
Married to Faye Ann Brown, from Wilton NH, for 52 years, his legacy includes 5 beautiful children, Stephen J. Brown, Lisa A. Taccardi, Robin R. Breda, Rebecca L. Clement and Robert L. Brown; son-in-law David Clement and daughter-in-law Margaret Brown; as well as 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many other friends and family.
Mr. Brown is reunited in heaven with his wife, Faye A. Brown, his sister Shirley, his son Stephen J. Brown, his son-in-law Mark H. Breda and his grandson Scott E. Varney.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 21, 2019, at Michaud Funeral Home, 32 Maple St, Wilton, NH 03086, from 10am to 1pm with graveside services to follow.
