Obituary for Roberta Taylor
Roberta M. Taylor, 66, of Port Richey FL, passed away Tuesday February 25, 2020, at her home in Florida. She was born June 2, 1953, in Nashua, NH, to parents Robert Pelletier and Gabriel (Arel) Gibbons.
Roberta grew up in NH, attending school in Nashua and going on to be a waitress at Bickford’s in Nashua, in addition to raising her family there. Her love of the outdoors and warm weather brought her down to Florida for her retirement. She was an active member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary in New Port Richey, FL and was also a bartender at the local VFW. Roberta enjoyed fishing, both salt and fresh water, and loved to dance whenever the mood struck. She could always be found spending time with friends or family and was a great person to be around. She truly loved life.
Roberta is survived by her son, Jason Smolinsky and his wife, Suzey Murphy, of New Ipswich, NH; her daughters, Nicole Green and her husband, Horatio, of Wilton, NH, Crystal Gardner of Milford, NH, Melissa Shiner and her husband, Jeremy Payne, of Nashua NH; her brothers, Gary Haggerty and his wife, Mary, of Greenfield, NH, Peter Pelletier, of Mt. Vernon, NH, Paul Gibbons and his wife, Lisa, of Wilton, NH; her sisters, Patricia Kelleher and her husband, Connie, of Mt. Vernon, NH, Debbie Gagnon and her husband, Daniel, of Manchester, NH; her brother-in-law, Michael Smith, of Greenfield, NH; her first husband, Kenneth Shiner; her second husband, Gordon Taylor; her grandchildren, Candice, Jeremy, Morgan, Alychia, Krystin, James, and Horatio; and her great-grandchildren, Jameson, Isabella, and Anthony. Roberta is predeceased by her brother, Richard Haggerty and her sister, Maureen Smith.
Family and friends are warmly welcome to attend calling hours on Friday, March 6, 2020, from 4-8 pm, followed by a memorial service on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 10 am. Both will be held at the Michaud Funeral Home, 32 Maple St., Wilton, NH. In the spring, a burial service will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, in Milford, NH. In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
